PROJECT BY: ZOHRA ALI Section One: Understanding self as a learner Motivation
This school year my biggest motivation was building
up for an good future. I believe that if I do well in school and get good grades it will help me get into an good university. Where i can study to become a nurse; my dream job. My parents have always motivated me, that's why this is my motivation every year. But this semester my goal was to get good grades so that I can apply for 20-1 courses. Covid Struggles Since Covid I really haven't faced as many struggles, from the beginning I was always a stay at home person. But the one of the main struggle I encountered was not being able to go to school. I've always been a hands on learner, i'm used to an paper, pencil, and for most of the time a teacher standing in front of the class teaching. Since everything is online I had a hard time adjusting to the new ways. Because I am at home there are also many distractions. I've tried overcoming the barriers by dealing with them one by one. For example, putting a lock on the door so my family members don't come inside and disturb me, I also tried doing what work I can on paper. For me the worst thing about covid was that it took my grandpa away. Section Two: Goal setting My goals
I was not successful in completing the goal I made
earlier this year. The main cause for that is because, I thought it would be very easy for me to carry out my classes in India, but it was way harder then I imagined. The biggest barrier for me was that I wasn't able to overcome the fact that I lost my grandma. Also I had missed a lot of classes because of my grandmas death, and after that I wasn't able to balance all the missing work and the present work. I tried to overcome the learning barrier by dealing with the work one by one. I first finished my Information and technology course, then my learning strategy course. From which I realized that you should do whats important first. Section Three: Time management
