The line graph illustrates the different trends of electrical appliances ownership in addition
to, how much time was spent doing the chores in households in a single country over a
century regarding the period from 1920 to 2019.

Overall, while the usage of both the refrigerator and the vacuum cleaner has witnessed an
increase over the period in question, the usage of the washing machine has slightly
increased over the first forty years before marginally decreasing till it reaches its lowest
value in 1980, before recovering till the end of the period. On the other hand, regarding the
time spent on housework per week the figure experienced a constant decreasing trend over
the century.
With regards to the refrigerator and the vaccum cleaner, the usage of the refrigerator has
started at zero in the year 1920, then the figure has sharply increased over sixty years till it
peaked at 100% in the year 1980. In contrast, the vacuum cleaner usage has started at 30 %
in 1920 followed by a constant increase over 80 years till it reached its maximum value in
2000 converging with the percentage of usage of the refrigerator.

Taking into consideration the percentage of washing machine usage and the amount of time
spent on housework, the washing machine has roughly started at a figure of 40%, this was
followed by a slight increase till it reached 70% in 1960. This figure slightly decreased then
increased again. Regarding the number of hours spent on house work, the figure started
high at 50 hours per week then began to decrease gradually till it reached its lowest value at
