CLEAN UP DRIVE
I. Rationale

In pursuance to Ambisyon Natin 2040 and intensification of Youth for

Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) to Establish specific and
doable programs, projects and activities to address issues and concerns
on the environment and ecology. In addition, the program also aims to
protect the environment and create activities to sustain environment
protection. The Department of Education – Division of Davao del Sur in
partnership of Department of Environment and Natural Resources aims
to mitigate the effects of climate change.

In this note, YES-O advocacies with activities are provided to empower

students, teachers, parents, stakeholders and community to join in this
endeavor to achieve the goal. These activities will give opportunities to
DepEd to intensify YES-O in its implementation in collaboration of
different agencies. It will also open the chance of schools to promote and
take pride of their best practices in the implementation of the DepEd
programs through one segment

II. Activity
Savoy Elementary School teachers in partnership with the YES-O
officers conducted a clean-up drive participated by Grades 1 to 6 pupils
held at their respective home considering their safety during the Covid-19
pandemic.

III. Result
With the parent’s guidance the pupils participated the activity and make
their part in cleaning their respective home. YES-O officers were able to collect
pictures as proof of participation of the pupils.
