Edward Christopher Sheeran is a British

singer and songwriter. Ed was born on 17
February 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK.
He is 29 years old. He started playing the
guitar as well as singing in the local church
when he was a child.

He studied in Thomas Mills High School in

Framlingham. Later, he studied music. He
joined the National Youth Theatre when he
was a teenager.

From his teenage days he started
recording CDs and selling them
Ed Sheeran became a famous singer after the release
of his album ‘+’ (plus) on September 2011. It stood at
number one in several countries.

He released his second album ‘x’ (multiply) on

June 2014. It peaked at number one not only in the
UK Albums Chart but in the US Billboard 200 as
well.

He released his third album ‘÷’ (divide) on March 2017.

Ed's most popular songs are: "Thinking out Loud",

"Shape of you", "Perfect", "Castle on the Hill", and
"Photograph", among others

his performances and CDs. Some of them are: the
‘British Artist of the Year’ award in 2014 and the
‘American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male
Artist’ in 2015.
