breathe and move are called as
living things.

A2. Things that do not have life in
them are called non-living things.
They cannot eat, grow, breathe
or move.
Q3. How are the roots helpful to
a plant?
A3. The roots of a plant absorb
water and hold the plant firmly
to the soil.
Q4. What work do the leaves of a
plant do?
A4. The leaves of a plant prepare
food for the plant.
Q5. What are trees?
A5. Trees are big and tall plants
with a lot of branches and thick
woody stem. They live for many
years. Example- Neem tree,
coconut tree etc.
Q6. What are creepers?
A6. Creepers are plants with soft,
green and weak stems. They
grow along the ground.
Example- pumpkin, water melon
etc.
Q7. Name the different parts of a
plant.
A7. Different parts of a plant are
roots, stem, leaves, flowers and
fruits.
