Nowadays wearing uniforms is really common in schools, but some people

argue that it might cause damage to children's individuality and have

negative impact on their personalities. I personally think that uniforms have
a lot of benefits and advantages. They not only help prevent bullying, but
also help students to concentrate on school work.

To begin with, uniforms create equality and reduce competition over

clothing choices between students. When all students are dressed alike,
children wearing less expensive or less fashionable outfits will not be made
fun of. For example, if a student comes from a low-income family, his
clothing will not be as fashionable as another student's and he may become
the target of bullying. Uniforms eliminate economic differences between
families and give children a feeling of being socially accepted.

School uniforms keep students focused on their education and not on their
clothes. When students don’t have clothing to notice, comment on or respond
to, they can spend more energy learning. They do not have to stress if their
outfit is not as good as their friend’s and it keep them concentrated in the
classroom. Uniforms prevent fashion trends and owning the latest styles from
becoming a priority.

To summarize, uniforms are important. They give a sense of equality and

improve the quality of learning. I believe that wearing them should be
maintained as a rule.
