3D Printed House

3D Printing is the modern way of building flexible houses and the

possible solution of construction oriented pollution. In 3D printing, the
raw material used for construction is Concrete. The process is simple
and the house is constructed live on the location.

In 3D Printing, the main equipment that is used for building houses is a

giant printer. With proper management and workforce it takes nearly six
to eight hours to set up the printer on the spot. Thereafter, it can print
about a 2000 square foot home within 48 hours. Basically the printer
travels within the fixed area and spreads concrete layer by layer. Thus
the walls and frame of the house is created. After the house is built, the
strength and durability of the house is way too stronger than the
conventional wooden framed house. Also the concrete is two to three
times stronger than the conventional bricks. In this type of construction,
the amount of material that has been used is fixed, therefore net
construction waste tends to zero. Besides, we don't need a whole lot of
area for dumping construction materials that we need in conventional
construction. In printer robot based technology or AI is used which in
terms reduces the cost of the construction.

3D printing is comparatively cheaper, revolutionary and a new method

of building houses. As every coin has two sides, this convention has some
disadvantages too. This method can’t be used for high storied buildings.
As high storied buildings and skyscrapers can’t be made, a huge amount
of space is being wasted. Still on the planet 150 millions are homeless and
3D printing is the ray of hope for them ensuring cheap, affordable and
durable houses.
