“THE TELL TALE HEART”

According to the story, the protagonist had a mental illness that caused him to have his

most acute senses. Christopher lived with an older man with whom he did not have any

problem, he mentions that he was kind and loved him very much, but that his eye disturbed

him a lot, it was a blue eye covered with a cloth. Every time he looked at him with that eye

he progressively made the decision to kill him and free himself from that look. A week

before he was killed Christopher entered the old man's room cautiously every night, making

sure not to make any noise so as not to wake the old man. For six nights with a flashlight he

looked at his closed celestial eye and that prevented him from killing him.

The night Christopher murdered the old man he entered the dark room as he had done

before, his senses were sharper than ever and without realizing he made a small noise that

woke the old man. He remained motionless while the old man remained alert and very

scared sitting on his bed, in the middle of the silence and the adrenaline Christopher

listened to the heartbeat of the old man and became more and more enraged, he waited a

while and with a jump he jumped on him old to suffocate. While suffocating him, he

listened to how his heart stopped as the seconds passed and after making sure that he was

dead, he dismembered him, cut off his head, his arms and his legs, hid the body under the

floor of the room. Some neighbor called the police, because in the middle of the night a

scream was heard, Christopher let them enter to search the house, he was calm because he

had hidden the body. He was talking quietly with the police for a while, but he began to

hear a noise that became louder and louder, finally after the pressure he felt for that noise

he ended up confessing to the police that he had murdered him.
