Dear Mrs. Alvarez,
Subject: A request to implement a student council. We, students of form 5J are writing this letter requesting to form a student council on the school’s compound. This will represent the rights of each student at St. Charles as we are ready to chronicle the best experience that our lives have had to offer. It may sound a bit dismissive, but we are at a period in our lives where our opinions matter the most. Forming a student council presents many prospects to learn more about ourselves as individuals, and how each of our goals and strengths will allow us to effectively interact with others, like communicating. It also aids youths to network and use valuable skills that will helps us to stay grounded as we get ready for the real world. I’ve never been confident or assertive when it comes to leadership and human rights, but I’m ready to take action and stand up for all our students at the St. Charles High School. We as a fifth form class, will try our best to provide additional support in various aspects of the school compound that will help build a greater team cooperation at school. This will be done by having local campaigns at lunch time; to discuss the importance of a student council at the school. Also, by having the opportunity to delegate someone to implement different measures each week can cause us to have a full share to hear everyone’s opinion and how they feel about events that may be happening around us. We would like to thank you for kind consideration regarding this matter. We are hopeful that you grant us permission.
