ASSESSMENT TASK NO. 1
You are a working in an investigation firm, you and your team handle a case
of a murdered business man. In your own investigation, you got the recorded tape
in the CCTV camera which showed the girl killing his boss, but the video was
blurd. You gave the video to the computer expert to scan using the special
program the footage to make the video clear and identify the suspect but the
specialist said that it would take 48 hours to clearly view the image. On that
day, your sister confessed and admitted that she was the one who killed the man.
Will your report your sister to the authority? Why?
In my own perspective in the situation, if I’ll be the one in that case, I
shall report my own sister to the authorities even if she is my own family or
relative because what she did is wrong even theirs a good motif behind it or any
other reasons that lead her to that, on the bottom line she must be punished for
her to understand what kind of situation that lead her to it, and eventually if
we let her through to it, maybe she’ll be able to do it again in others and we
can’t let that happen. Other reason to that is that it is my own obligation to
report her since I’m the one who’s assigned to do the task to accomplish for
greater good and committing a serious crime like murder is a serious case to my
job as an investigator.
