REGISTERED NURSE

Abstract

At some point, everyone has received care from a nurse or specifically a registered nurse. A

registered nurse (RN) is a nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Their job is to

provide and coordinate patients' healthcare while educating patients about various health

conditions. RNs commonly work at hospitals or emergency rooms. At hospitals, one of the top

occupations is being a nurse anesthetist. They are in charge of providing anesthesia for patients

undergoing medical procedures. On average, a nurse anesthetist makes up to $87 per hour. There

is an expected 45% growth rate for this career next year. Working in healthcare facilities takes

endurance and drive; most nurses work 12-hour shifts where they are on their feet the whole time

working with patients. Nurses need to have good hospitality and bedside manners when treating

patients. They deal with all different types of people coming to them with different needs, and it

is their job to make them feel welcomed and comfortable.
