1. What is history? What are the significance in the study of history? (Give at least

- Basically, history in Filipino is ‘Nakaraan’ which means back through the days. As
we all know that most of the history were told because of people that investigate the
past. Through that (History) we will know where did we start like for example (we are
the little tiger of Asia (I don’t know if it’s true) but because of betrayal we become
nothing) and that is one of the history in the Philippines that we are once a strong
and great country. History can be written through books or social media but the story
in a history book will all depend to the writer. It is important to know and study history
so we will know the past of something like technology and society.

2. What are the two sources used in the study of history. Distinguish them.

- First let’s talk about Primary sources which means that the history is written by the
people who really experience things first hand like the people who experience martial
law. Some of them wrote a history of what they felt and what they experience in that
time, they explain it from writing or taking a video. Next is Secondary sources, this is
when they investigate the history. They didn’t experience those things first hand and
they’re just investigating or researching about what happened in that time. For example
they just interview the once who experience the martial law and wrote down what they
heard. So that is the primary and secondary Sources in history.
