"How would you feel if you were told that a war is coming to destroy your city, your house,

and
your family?"

That was the question popping out of our heads once the attacks in Ukraine started. We had to do
something about it!

We were too far away to provide help in the field, but close enough to help the civilians looking
for a safe country for shelter.

But what exactly could we do? We know there are many people/organizations already out there
collecting donations such as food and clothing... So we thought..."We could create a new
platform where we could gather all that information!" We can build the bridge between
organizations/volunteers and asylum seekers and make sure people arriving in this beautiful
Portugal have the best guidance and social integration.

By creating a strong presence online we can assure the information reaches as many people as
possible. There are many people in need of help as well as many people who would love to help
but don't know how to do so. Our goal is to reach them and guarantee the right match between
asylum seekers and anyone willing to help.

And that's how the MYR project started in the first place.

But we are more than a platform that connects people and organizations - we are a group of
young proactive people ready to help with our own bare hands. As a group of multicultural legal
professionals, we understand how complex can it be to arrive in a different country. We know
that having all documents in place and understanding the system, the culture, and the language is
essential to living freely. We want to make sure all Ukrainians arriving in Portugal find their path
in this sunny land.
