Research Questions:

1. What are the challenges people face in cyber space?


2. What are steps for preventing cyber crimes?
3. Whether the laws regarding cyber security are sufficient?
4. What are the challenges of the cyber security acts in implications and
implementation?
5. What are the existing problems of cyber laws in our country to control cyber
crimes?

Background of the study:


Cyber-crime in this days became an alarming issue in Bangladesh. It’s facing a
huge threat in the cyber space. All the government and non-government institutes
now a days based on the communication technology to collect data and for other
official work. There is no actual information about cyber-crime when it started but
it can be noted that cyber-crime first time take place at France in the year 1820.
Now cyber-crime is growing globally because of the progressing use of online
platform.
In year 1999 at Taiwan a virus initiate known as virus CIH which attacked to the
cyber space. It introduce the world about the topic of cyber-crime. In Bangladesh
the cyber security is developing for the threats on the cyber space. Previously the
ICT Act,2006 (amended 2013) analyze the role of police power of arrest without
warrant under this Act etc. Now the Digital Security Act, 2018 was in measures for
the cyber-crimes as well as ensure security in digital platform .The security of
cyber space should be strong without it can cause harm by stealing the confidential
information of official government documents. Without building a strong security
by ICT division it can be a harmful to the interest of the nation.

Book Company(2012) this book describe the legal status of cyber-crimes
and domestic and foreign cases have been presented.

National Law Book House, 2014, Dhaka this book analyze the legal rules
relating to information and technology.
 Cyber Crime and Bangladesh Perspective by A.R.M. Borhanuddin (Raihan)
this paper describe cyber-crime reasons and mode as well as effective
provisions relating to this crime across Bangladesh and other countries.
