Social partner stage shoebox activities

Developing communicative competence, a shoe box with words and related to enthusiasms like
(animals, vegetables, and cars) an open box with picture and basic adjectives posting independently.

Using his pictures/therapist and peers and favourite characters for posting emotions according to the
three basic zones.

Boxes for selecting favourite food and objects.

For exhibiting language expansion appropriate words with symbols to be posted on object boxes.

Through a picture display box for example "it's a birthday party", "it's a music class" etc

Observing facial expressions through pictures of self and others on a box and posting words/emotions.

introduce help and break, develop understanding of cause of emotions.
Conversational Partner Stage activities
Developing advanced language and social awareness and open box with a variety of adjective/emotion/
sentence strips

1. A Posting shoebox with Ahmed picture and posting shoebox with any therapist’s picture

Ahmed selects adjectives and emotions and posts.


Moving onto socially appropriate sentence strips.

2. Use Ahmed pictures to use emotional memories/news pictures of pairs to post sentence strips
accordingly.
3. Boxes for kitchen activities/separating baking/ drinks/cooking etc. Posting pictures of appropriate
ingredients and machinery required.
4. Boxes for hobbies and enthusiasms/interests.
Mobile phones - posting features
TV shows- posting categories
Then use sentence strips representing shows, channels and anchors.
Keeping the topic of interest for teaching and making & maintaining conversations.
