MSC. IN ECONOMICS (PSME)
Created in 2007, The Panthéon Sorbonne Master in
Economics is meeting a triple challenge:
• Train international English-speakers in the field of
Economics at the Master level and in French.
• Prepare students for further specialization in the
2nd year master programs in France (Ex.
Sorbonne School of Economics and Paris School
of Economics, Toulouse School of Economics)
or elsewhere in Europe (Ex. London School of
Economics).
• Build a world-wide network of highly educated,
open-minded individuals with expertise in various
fields of economics.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
• Students with a bachelor’s degree in the field
of Economics or related field with substantial
coursework and knowledge in Economics and
Mathematics.
• Professionals with at least 2 years experience stri-
ving to enhance their initial background or are in-
terested in a career change.
SELECTION PROCESS
► International english speakers :
CV, letter of motivation, 2 letters of recommen-
dation, academic transcripts, bachelor’s degree,
an English language certificate for non-native En-
glish speakers, a copy of passport, PSME Applica-
tion form downloadable at

► French students :
Licence in Economics + English language certifi-
cate , CV, motivation letter, 2 letters of recom-
mendation, academic transcripts, PSME Applica-
tion form. ecandidat from January to April.

procedures and accepted test scores.
Some students may be requested to pass an interview.

MAIN CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Most PSME students complete a specialized 2nd year
of graduate studies offered at the University before
beginning their career. Those that complete further
studies in the 2nd year or go for further training in a
PhD hold high level positions in the public or private
sector.
Some students choose to find work directly after the
PSME and hold positions such as Economic Advisor,
Analyst, Associate, Officer, Co nsultant, or Ma
nager in Government agencies, banks, or in the
private or public sector.
