Discussion:

In this experiment we are measure the resistance with color code and DMM. We are finding the
resistance with color and from resistance value to color. For this experiment we are using resister Color
table to find the resistance color and value. We are connecting the resister with DMM positive terminal
and negative termina to see that our calculate value is same as to experiment value. To see this, we are
using an online tool tinkercad to check our result is correct or not. We are using color table for Value to
color code convert and color code to resistance value convert.

Conclusion:

In this experiment we correct calculated the resistance of a resister. We calculate color to value and
value to color to find the resistance.

Precaution:

If we are not following the resister color table correctly, we cannot calculate correctly resistance of a
resister. So, carefully follow the color table to find the correct ans.

Question Ans:

1.Ans:

We are used resistor to reduce the current flow, adjust signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active
element, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses. The unit of resistance is ohm(Ω).
2.Ans:

The possible materials are that is used to make resistor, Nickel-chromium alloy, non-conductive ceramic
material, fiber-glass, carbon particles, Nichrome, tantalum nitride, Metal, tin oxide, chromium etc.

3.Ans:

Yes, the tolerance just to their normal band of value at room temperature. other thing that affects the
value of resistor:

Therman coefficient of resistance -the division from its room temperature value which is the nominal (+/-)
some tolerance is also shifted by temperature according to (R=Rrt+(T-Tr) x C where C is the coefficient
usually given in PPM.

Aging- they shift at a certain aging rate usually given as PPM per year.

past history (excessive over temperature due to over dissipation or out of spec ambient temperature
including bad soldering job) can permanently shift resistance

humidity. In sum total, these effects can put a resistor way beyond its nominal plus worst-case tolerance
(or minus)
