Pragmatism is an educational philosophy which refers to the act of conducting an
experiment to validate the thoughts and ideas of a person to gain knowledge and also to think critically while performing this process.
A teacher is a helpful tool for the intellectual growth of students. If a teacher is
interrogating a student critically and let his students conduct experiments regarding their lessons, the students will eventually learn and will have extensive knowledge from these methods and will validate their thoughts and ideas according to their questions and curiosity about a specific lesson.
2. Give two examples of idealism.
Idealism is an educational philosophy which refers to the act of learning of a
person based on his thoughts and ideas being taught by another person. The examples for this kind of educational philosophy are the ideas what a volcano eruption and a tornado is. With this, students will gather information across the net and from other educational materials to find the answers for these questions and will eventually learn by memorizing their definitions.
3. How do you teach realism in education?
Realism is an educational philosophy which refers to the first-hand experiences
and situations of a person to be able to gain knowledge. If I were to teach realism in education, I will let my students to learn new knowledge by experiencing activities that is connected to the specific lesson being taught to them. An example for this educational philosophy is letting my students to play basketball so that they will learn the basic skills, hand signals and rules for this kind of sports. As the students were able to play basketball, they will thoroughly understand the overall lesson about playing basketball.
