REVIEW THE NOVELLA OF TRUMAN CAPOTE - BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S

This novella is a best seller novel by Truman Capote. Breakfast at Tiffany's is a

novella by Truman Capote published in 1958. In the novela, a contemporary writer recalls
his early days in New York City, when he became acquainted with his extraordinary
neighbor, Holly Golightly, who was one of Capote's famous creations. This beautiful novella
is about a young woman named Holly Golightly who meets a young man who lives in the
same apartment. In this novel a young man here is the character "I" who until the end of the
story he did not mention his name at all. And Holly Golightly is a mysterious, free-spirited
young woman who is the idol of New York's upscale men. People know him as the queen of
the party, the mistress of the millionaire, and at the same time an accomplice of the Mafia.

This novel presents a simple story line, without any exciting story conflicts, as if
there is nothing interesting that we can find in this side. But Truman Capote tries to
interpret something that we are not aware of, even something that we often encounter in
daily life, namely Hedonism. The symbol of Hedonism is depicted through the Holy
Golightly character herself, a mistress of many men who has a special relationship with a
Mafia Boss.

From the depiction of Holly's character, it is sufficient to describe the life of

Hedonism which is very pleasant but a bit ironic, because Holly's life as a child was gloomy
so that when she grew up she became a bitch, who tends to spend a lot of time and often
invites her male friends into her room, it makes her neighbors don't like it except the main
character "I". The point of view in this novel which is taken by Truman Capote is quite
interesting, namely the point of view of the person who likes Holly, as explained at the
beginning of this neighbor, his name is not mentioned, but his change name is "I". However,
this novel also contains another trait of Holly, which is the bitter affection behind her
Hedonism.

In this novel, Capote mostly uses poetic words which are described through a figure
of speech or figure of speech, so that it makes us read it over and over again in order to
understand the meaning of these words.
This novella is recommended for adults to read because it contains Nudity Scenes.
But there are no making out scenes so it is safe to be enjoyed by people who are disgusted by
free sex stories.

The setting of this book was also brilliant. The book is set in 1940s New York, and I
thought this really added to the atmosphere and feel of the book. The fashion and glamour
of Holiday Golightly really made the book, as well as the film.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I thought the whole feel of the book was brilliant,
and the glamour of the main character made for an interesting read. You cannot help but
fall in love with Holiday Golightly, and her world is just so odd and wild that it sweeps you
in, just as the narrator gets swept in.
