The AURA is a series of simple Fancom
control computers, used at section level,
with touch-screen operation. With the
AURA control computer, Fancom is
setting a new standard for automation
in poultry houses: complete, easy to

LUMINA control computers
The LUMINA control computers have
been designed for more demanding
users. Offering the same ease of use

Minimum Transitional Tunnel (MTT) is
Fancom’s advanced ventilation system
that ensures an even climate in every
house. The MTT principle is based on
a gradual transition from minimum to
maximum ventilation. The result is a
healthy climate for growth throughout
the entire production process, from
day-old chick to mature birds.

the focus is on preventing heat stress,

 Climate MTT- special versions
MTT in every house
For many years, MTT has been a tried
and trusted ventilation system used in
various climate zones all over the world.
The system has proven its worth from
the pole circle to the equator. Depending
on the required house concept, MTT has
various versions of air inlet systems and
exhaust fans for installation in the ridge
or end gable. There is a suitable system
for every type of house.
• Length ventilation offers a combination
of controllable fans and large on/off
fans in the gable. Fresh air enters the
house via tunnel inlets and/or inlets in
the side walls.
• With ridge ventilation, the fresh air
enters the house through inlets in the
side walls and is exhausted by fans
installed in the ridge of the house.
• In a stair-step or cross ventilation
system, an air inlet and an exhaust
system are both mounted in the side
walls.

Fancom also offers a suitable MTT
solution for broilers housed in cage
systems. This system also ensures
that the incoming fresh air is well
distributed in the house, even at low air
speeds. There are also solutions that
can add extra cooling capacity using,
for example, the system whereby air
is cooled over the entire length of the
house before it enters the building.
Naturally ventilated houses have the
most energy efficient climate control. In
regions with enough wind, the natural
ventilation meets the needs of a good
house climate. A good curtain control
is very important here. The MTT natural
system controls the curtains on both
sides of the house independently and
ensures the air entering the building is
distributed evenly.

 Our climate system
Fancom regulates the entire climate
process, from the incoming air right up
to the exhaust air. Our climate policy
is aimed at sustainable profits. We save
on ventilation and heating and cooling,
without compromising quality. On the
contrary. What makes our controllers
stand out from the rest is the accurate
ventilation based on the actual number
of animals present, animal weight and
the actual airflow measurement. Unique
is the Optisec control that automatically
harmonises heating and ventilation,
and therefore saves energy. And the
Humitemp control that calculates the
combination of humidity and temperature
and takes this as the basis for the
optimal fan position to avoids heat
stress amongst your animals.
Air inlet
Our air inlet system ensures all the
animals in the house have sufficient
fresh air, without any draughts. We offer
systems suitable for curtain ventilation
and air inlet valves and tunnel inlets.
The Fantura air inlet system featuring an
intelligent actuator is unique. A special
jet stream at the air inlet valve bundles
the incoming air, creating a better throw
so that no more cold air drops onto your
animals.

Exhaust
Fancom climate systems are
characterised by extremely accurate
airflow measurement using the ATM
measuring and control unit installed
underneath the fan module. The
patented air flow transmitter continually
measures the airflow in the house or
section with 99% accuracy. A motor-
driven control valve installed between
the airflow transmitter and the fan is
activated, if necessary, to provide even
more accurate ventilation.
Outside influences will have no effect on
ventilation and any climate fluctuations
will be minimised. Your animals will
always have precisely the right amount
of fresh air. Never too much. And never
too little.
We invest in energy efficient, low-noise
fans that can be accurately controlled.
The complete fans from Fancom are
incredibly easy to mount in or on
the wall. Fancom supplies the fan in
a robust, dimensionally stable synthetic
module so it can be mounted underneath
a chimney.
To ventilate large houses with tunnel,
cross or combi ventilation, Fancom
offers box fans that combine high airflow
capacity with low energy consumption
and noise levels and still delivers a
first-class performance at higher counter
pressures.

 Heating
We offer a wide range of heating
systems including delta and/or twin
tubes that warm the incoming air using
water flowing through aluminium tubes.
We also offer forced air heaters. Both
systems provide efficient radiant heat
directly to the animals so heat loss is
minimised.

Cooling
We also offer various cooling systems to
maintain productivity levels during warm
periods. Cooling units cool the incoming
air using water that flows through a
synthetic pad. This cooling method gives
excellent results and uses a minimum of
energy.
A good solution for houses equipped
with air inlet valves is to cool the
incoming air using a high-pressure mist.
During this evaporation process heat
is extracted from air, which lowers the
temperature. High-pressure cooling is
simple, effective and extremely reliable.
Sensors
To get more grip on the house climate,
Fancom offers a wide range of accurate
sensors that continuously monitor the
thermal comfort of the animals. The
climate controller uses these meas-
urements to adjust the indoor climate
exactly to the needs of the animals. We
have sensors for temperature, relative
humidity, pressure, light, CO2 and NH3.

EasyBin is Fancom’s simple silo weighing
system where the silo is weighed using
weighing bars or load cells.
The Lumina 40 feed computer transports
the feed directly from the silo to the
hoppers in the house, so that large
amounts of feed can be distributed
in a short space of time. Robust
load cells are used to ensure reliable
weighing. The influence of temperature
differences and wind influences on the
silo are automatically compensated for.
EasyBin is the only silo weighing system
that enables simultaneous bulking
and feeding without affecting feed
consumption registration.

EasyBatch
and EasyBlend
Fancom’s batch weighing systems use
a batch weigher positioned between
the silo and the hoppers in the house
to accurately distribute large amounts
of feed in small batches. EasyBatch
is specially for situations where feed
does not need to be mixed, whereas
EasyBlend can mix two types of feed or
add cereal products.
The Lumina 41 and Lumina 42 feed
computers accurately control the entire
process, from preparing the feed in the
batch weigher and filling the hoppers
in the house right up to supplying the
feeding lines in the house.

A manual operation unit (optional)
allows you to operate the feeding
system by hand should a malfunction
unexpectedly occur. iFarming gives
you complete control. When the silo
is empty, the system automatically
switches to another silo that contains
the same type of feed. The daily
amount of feed and the mixing ratio can

A second biometric system is eYeNamic,
an automatic behaviour monitor for broil-
ers. eYeNamic uses camera technology
in the house. Three cameras mounted
in the ridge of the house continuously
monitor part of the floor below. Analysis
software translates these images into an
index for animal migration and activity,
both of which are extremely valuable
indicators of animal welfare.
