Week 1.

o Tema: Can vs Could

Objetivo: Que los alumnos aprendan a identificar la diferencia y uso de “Can” y
“Could” de manera afirmativa y negativa.
Vocabulario: can, can´t, could, couldn’t.

o Tema: Simple Present “review”

Objetivo: Que los alumnos reafirmen el tema de “Simple Present” de forma
genera para aplicarlo en el siguiente tópico.
Target Language: Third personal of singular, Auxiliary Do/Does -
Don’t/Doesn’t, infinitive verbs.

o Tema: Zero Conditonal (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos empleen el “Zero Conditional” para referirse a
hechos generalmente verdaderos en donde este implico una condición y un
resultado y que ponga en práctica el “Simple Present” en afirmativo para
desarrollar el mismo.
Target Language: If + clause, main clause (comma is necessary) / main clause
if + clause (no comma).

o Tema: Zero Conditonal (Negative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos empleen el “Zero Conditional” para referirse a
hechos generalmente verdaderos en donde este implico una condición y un
resultado y que ponga en práctica el “Simple Present” en negativo para
desarrollar el mismo.
Target Language: If + negative clause, main clause in negative(comma is
necessary) / main clause in negative if + clause in negative (no comma).

Week 2.

o Tema: Future “Will” (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos utilicen el futuro “Will” para predicciones y promesas
de forma afirmativa.
Vocabulario: will.

o Tema: Future “Will” (Negative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos utilicen el futuro “Will” para predicciones y promesas
de forma negative.
Vocabulario: will not / won´t.

o Tema: Future “Will” (Interrogative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos utilicen el futuro “Will” para predicciones y promesas
de forma interrogativa.
Vocabulario: (Auxiliary) will, ?.

o Tema: Future “Be” going to (Affirmative).

Objetivo: Que los alumnos empleen el futuro “Be going to” para referirse a
planes, intenciones y/o hacer predicciones de eventos que van a suceder en un
futuro cercano de forma afirmativa.
Vocabulario: Verb to be (am, is, are), going to.

Week 3.

o Tema: Future “Be” going to (Negative).

Objetivo: Que los alumnos empleen el futuro “Be going to” para referirse a
planes, intenciones y/o hacer predicciones de eventos que van a sucederé en
un futuro cercano de forma negativa.
Vocabulario: Verb to be in negative (am not, isn´t, aren´t), going to.

o Tema: Future “Be” going to (Interrogative).

Objetivo: Que los alumnos empleen el futuro “Be going to” para referirse a
planes, intenciones y/o hacer predicciones de eventos que van a suceder en un
futuro cercano de forma interrogativa.
Vocabulario: (Auxiliary) Verb to be (am, is, are), ?.

o Tema: Future “Be” going to vs Will.

Objetivo: Que los alumnos identifiquen las diferencias entre el futuro “Be going
to” y el futuro “Will”.
Vocabulario: “Be” goint to, Will.

o Tema: First Conditional (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos utilicen “First Conditional” para expresar situaciones
reales o probables en el futuro en afirmativo.
Target Language: If + simple present, future “Will” (comma necessary) / future
“Will + Simple present (no comma).

Week 4.

o Tema: First Conditional (Negative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos utilicen “First Conditional” para expresar situaciones
reales o probables en el futuro en negativo.
Target Language: If + simple present in negative, future “Will” in negative
(comma necessary) / future “Will” in negative + Simple present in negative (no
comma).

o Tema: Would (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos apliquen el verbo modal “Would” para expresar
opinión sobre algo probable o posible, para pedir permiso y/o hacer una petición
de forma afirmativo.
Vocabulary: would.

o Tema: Would (Negative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos apliquen el verbo modal “Would” para expresar
opinión sobre algo probable o posible, para pedir permiso y/o hacer una petición
de forma negativa.
Vocabulary: would not / wouldn´t.

Objetivo: Que los alumnos apliquen el verbo modal “Would” para expresar
opinión sobre algo probable o posible, para pedir permiso y/o hacer una petición
de forma interrogativa.

Week 5.

o Tema: Simple Past (Review)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos repasen de forma exitosa los “regular” e “irregular”
verbs y auxiliares en “negative” e “interrogative”.
Target Language: Regular and Irregular verbs, Auxiliary did (affirmative) and
did not / didn´t (negative).

o Tema: Second Conditional (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos expresen situaciones irreales o poco probables que
sucedan de forma afirmativa.
Target Language: If + simple past, would sentence + verb in infinitive (comma
is necessary) / Would + verb in infinitive + if + simple past (no comma).

o Tema: Second Conditional (Negative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos expresen situaciones irreales o poco probables que
sucedan de forma negativa.
Target Language: If + simple past in negative, would sentence in negative +
verb in infinitive (comma is necessary) / Would in negative+ verb in infinitive + if
+ simple past (no comma).

o Tema: Reported Speech (Present into Past)
Objetivo: Que los alumnos expresen lo que una persona ha dicho sin citar
directamente al sujeto, en diferentes tiempos verbales (simple present and
simple past).
Target Language: Simple present into Simple past

Week 6.

o Tema: Adverbs of Manner

Objetivo: Que los alumnos conozcan el uso y significado y empleen los
adverbios de manera en una oración.
Vocabulario: quietly, carefully, slowly, closely, easily, fast, well, quickly, highly,
nicely, safely, noisily, unfortunately, actually, especially, furiously, generally,
commonly.

o Tema: Adjectives vs Adverbs of Manner

Objetivo: Que los alumnos identifiquen las diferencias entre “adjetivo” y
“adverbio” y el uso de cada uno.
Target Language: (Adverb) you can use the previous adverbs (Adjective) you
can use the previous adjectives (basic level outline).

o Tema: Comparative Adjectives (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos aprendan a comparar entre dos objetos, empleando
adjetivos de forma correcta respetando reglas y estructuras de forma afirmativa.
Target Language:
Subject + verb to “be” + comparative adjective + than + subject/object.
More + long adjective + than + subject/object

Objetivo: Que los alumnos aprendan a comparar entre dos objetos, empleando
adjetivos de forma correcta respetando reglas y estructuras de forma negativa.
Target Language:

Negative clause + more + long adjective + than + subject/object

Week 7.

o Tema: Superlative Adjectives (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos aprendan a comparar un objeto/persona de un grupo
de objetos/personas, empleando adjetivos de forma correcta respetando reglas
y estructuras de forma afirmativa.
Target Language:
Subject + verb to “be” negative + superlative adjective + than + subject/object.
The most + long adjective + than + subject/object

o Tema: Superlative Adjectives (Negative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos aprendan a comparar un objeto/persona de un grupo
de objetos/personas, empleando adjetivos de forma correcta respetando reglas
y estructuras de forma negativa.

o Tema: Present Progressive/Continuous (Affirmative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos expresen acciones que realicen en ese preciso
momento de forma afirmativa y que conozco el “gerundio” como parte
fundamental de este tiempo verbal.
Target Language:
Subject + verb to “be” + verb with “ing” + complement.

o Tema: Present Progressive/Continuous (Negative and Interrogative)

Objetivo: Que los alumnos expresen acciones que realicen en ese preciso
momento de forma negativa e interrogativa y que conozcan el “gerundio” como
parte fundamental de este tiempo verbal.
Target Language:
Subject + verb to “be” in negative + verb with “ing” + complement.
Auxiliary + subject + verb with “ing” + complement + ?.

Week 8.

Review and Evaluation.

En esta semana los Teachers deberán de realizar un repaso de los temas que
no hayan quedado del todo claro, al igual de pedir los videos para la evaluación
final de los alumnos para cambio de nivel.
