Put Ataare seeds in your mouth and chew. Recite the Ofo (incantation) while chewing
the ataare seeds. Blow into your hands and pass over your head, from front to back.

Male uses nine (9) Ataare seeds, and Female uses seven (7) seeds.

Ẹyẹ Akọmọ ngbe ni ibi iyipo

Awọn Eku wà lórí òkè

Ohun ti o ji iranti eniyan

Kini o um ki o ranti

Awọn ata jáni ọkan ni iyara ni ẹnu

Wipe mo ranti ati um nkan wo ni kiakia.

Translation

The cobra lives in a round place

The ókétés live on the hill

What awakens one's memory

What makes one remember

Guinea peppers sting one quick in the mouth

That I remember and assimilate things quickly
