Sub ET Evaluation and Qualification criteria thereof

With change in evaluation system of ETs this year onwards, qualification criterion too
needed review. As approved by competent authority, modalities of ET evaluation and
consequent qualification criteria are enclosed at Annexure "A". Flow charts depicting
the same are enclosed at Annexure "B" for clear uilderstanding.

Kindly circulate this for information of ETs at your EDC. Kindly send EDC
evaluation marks of ETs to PMI as per this.

ANNEXURE "A"

EXECUTIVE TRAINEE EVALUATION - QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

ETs are to be evaluated by respective EDCs, PMI (through centralized examination)


and External agencies. Modalities of evaluation and consequent qualification criteria are as
follows:
1.1. Minimum qualifying marks for any module will be 50 %.
1.2. For the purpose of getting absolute marks in a particular module, marks obtained in
evaluation by EDC and that obtained in relevant section of centralized test will be
added and then converted into percentage.
1.3. EDC Evaluation:
1.3.1. ET fails to qualify in any of the evaluation: ET will be given one more
chance to appear for the same before MTA. For merit purpose marks obtained in
first attempt only will be considered.
1.3.2. ET absent in any of the evaluation: ET will have to appear in re - attempt
before MTA (along with ETs at 1.3.1 above) and the marks obtained by him 1 her
will be treated as follows:
1.3.2.1. In case ET obtains pore than 50 % marks - 50 % of the maximum
marks of the test to be considered for merit purpose
1.3.2.2. In case ET obtains less than 50 % marks - marks as obtained will
be considered for merit purpose.
1.4. Centralised Evaluation:
1.4.1. ET who fails to qualify in any of the module (combined marks of EDC
evaluation and Centralised evaluation less than 50%) will have to reappear for
that particular module only at the time of centralized retest for qualification
purpose. Marks obtained by ET for centralized evaluation in first attempt only
will be considered for merit purpose. Centralised retest will be conducted during
Directed On Job training before Final Appraisal. The test wiII be heId at PMI and
ET will have to appear in this re-test at his / her own cost.
1.4.2. ET absent in centralized test will be given "O" marks, to be considered for
Merit purpose. However, such ETs will have to appear for the re-attempt during
centralized re-test only for qualification purpose.
1.5. Evaluation by External Agency: ET who fails to appear in the evaluation carried
out by an external agency viz. for Theatre workshop and OBT, on account of any
reason will be awarded only 50 % marks (minimum qualifying) slated for that
particular module and the same will be considered for the purpose of preparation of
Merit list. For non attendance in the entire module "0" marks are to be awarded. No
re- evaluation will be carried out for the same. Physically challenged ETs who cannot
attend OBT will be suitably engaged in some other activity by EDC incharge and the
same will be evaluated for marks equivalent to marks slated for OBT.
Placement for DoJ training will be done on the basis of marks obtained till Mid
Term Appraisal by merit cum choice cum vacancy system. Hawever, any ET, who has not
qualified in any of the module will have to appear for centralized re-test during DoJ
training and will have to qualify in that particular module.
3. Training of ETs who fail to qualify a particular module will be extended as:

These extensions in training will be affected in DoJ period of the ET and extension
on account of 2 or more than 2 points will be cumulative.
No extension in training on account of absence in Theatre workshop / OBT.

4. Any ET who fails to appear in / complete Final Appraisal on scheduled date(s) will be
regularised from the date he / she finally appears for the Final Appraisal specifically
arranged for him iher, subject to successfbl qualification in the same. In case ET is not
able to qualify in the same or panel recommends extension in training, the training will be
extended as per point 6 in table at para 3 above, which will be from the date of his / her
appearance in the Final Appraisal.
