INFLUENCE OF PATIENTS' PERCEPTIONS ON ACCREDITATION OF

HEALTH CENTRE ON PATIENT SATISFACTION AT SIATAS

Siatas Barita Public Health Center has been accredited in North Tapanuli
Regency in 2018. The implementation of Accreditation is to improve the quality of
health services at health centre, so that the improved quality of health services
can provide satisfaction for patients or the community who receive these health
services.
This study aimed to analyze the influence of patient's perception of
accreditation of health centre on patient satisfaction at Siatas Barita Health
Centre. This study was a quantitative with an explanatory design and a cross-
sectional study approach. The population was 525 people aged 25-50 years, and
the number of samples was 84 people.
Univariate analysis showed from 84 respondents, more respondents gave
good ratings to the perception of infrastructure (54.8%), followed by the
perception of the quality management (48.8%) and the perception of human
resources (41.7%). Bivariate test showed no significant relationship of variable
perception of the infrastructure with patient satisfaction (p=.615), multivariate
Analysis found the variable perception of human resources most of his influence
(Exp=26.69) compared the perception of the quality management (Exp=22.16) to
patients satisfaction in Siatas Barita Health Centre.
Service and satisfaction are two things that cannot be separated, because
with satisfaction, related parties can correct each other to what extent the
services provided are getting better or worse. The person in charge of the quality
management of the health centre must carry out further evaluations related to
human resources and patient care quality in order to improve service and patient
satisfaction at Siatas Barita Health Center.
