General Electric Aircraft Engines

With over 92,000 employees, 900 locations, annual revenues of €19 billion and
activities in numerous key sectors including aviation, energy generation and
management, healthcare and additive manufacturing, GE plays a vital role to
drive growth and competitiveness in the continent. The company continues to
build its technology base in Europe. In the last 3 years 60% of the value of all of
GE’s major acquisitions, accounting for €18 billion, has stayed in Europe.
Alstom will be the largest acquisition in GE’s history. GE acquired the German
Arcam and Concept Laser (€549 million) and LM Wind Power (€1.65 billion)
in the past two years.
Europe is a hub of innovation for GE with over 20 industry focused R&D
centers across the continent. A third of the company’s annual €5billion R&D
budget is invested in Europe and approximately 30% of GE’s global patents are
filed in the region. GE in Europe has 15,000 technologists with over 30
industries focused research centers.

Microsoft
Is an American multinational technology corporation which produces computer
software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services. Its
best-known software products are the Microsoft Windows line of operating
systems, the Microsoft Office suite, and the Internet Explorer and Edge web
browsers. Its flagship hardware products are the Xbox video game consoles and
the Microsoft Surface lineup of touchscreen personal computers. Microsoft
ranked No. 21 in the 2020 Fortune 500 rankings of the largest United States
corporations by total revenue; it was the world's largest software maker by
revenue as of 2016. It is one of the Big Five American information technology
companies, alongside Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, and Meta. Microsoft (the word
being a portmanteau of "microcomputer software") was founded by Bill Gates
and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975, to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the
Altair 8800. It rose to dominate the personal computer operating system market
with MS-DOS in the mid-1980s, followed by Microsoft Windows. The
company's 1986 initial public offering (IPO), and subsequent rise in its share
price, created three billionaires and an estimated 12,000 millionaires among
Microsoft employees. Since the 1990s, it has increasingly diversified from the
operating system market and has made a number of corporate acquisitions, their
largest being the acquisition of LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in December 2016,
followed by their acquisition of Skype Technologies for $8.5 billion in May
2011.

Samsung Electronics
Is a South Korean multinational electronics corporation headquartered in the
Yeongtong District of Suwon. It is the pinnacle of the Samsung chaebol,
accounting for 70% of the group's revenue in 2012. Samsung Electronics has
played a key role in the group's corporate governance due to circular ownership.
Samsung Electronics has assembly plants and sales networks in 74 countries
and employs around 290,000 people. It is majority-owned by foreign investors.
As of 2019, Samsung Electronics is the world's second-largest technology
company by revenue, and its market capitalization stood at US$520.65 billion,
the 12th largest in the world. Samsung is a major manufacturer of electronic
components such as lithium-ion batteries, semiconductors, image sensors,
camera modules, and displays for clients such as Apple, Sony, HTC, and Nokia.
