At the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:

 Recognize what are polite words

 Speak the polite words such as “thank you”, “please”, “excuse me”, and “sorry”

 Identify when to use polite words

 Respond to certain situations with proper polite words

Procedure:

BEFORE THE LESSON

1.Greet the students.

2. Ask students about previous lesson.


3. Review greetings to the class.

4. Present the content of the lesson today to the students.

5. Inform the class about the relationship of greetings and polite words.

6. Show the class a video of a song about polite words.

7. Ask questions to the class about the video

8. Relate it with the lesson for today.

LESSON PROPER

9. Discuss what are polite words.

10. Show each flashcard to the students.

11. Read the polite word on the flashcard to the students.

12. Ask the students to repeat the polite word on the flashcard.

13. Spell out the polite word on the flashcard and ask the students to repeat.

14. Explain when to say the polite in the flashcard.

15. Provide examples of situation when to use the polite word.

16. Review the polite word to the student before moving to the next polite word.

Assessment:

17. Give example situations with pictures.

18. Ask the students what is the correct polite word to be use.
19. Provide good feedback to correct answers.
