Give 2 examples or scenarios to each fallacy.

1. Ad Hominem
 “You should look at yourself before giving an opinion!”
 “Who gives you the permission to decide for what’s good for me when you were
convicted for 10 years?”
2. Strawman Argument

“How can you say that it was rape? What if they did it willingly? Or played a part
in provoking the perpetrator?”
 Women are continuously being harassed in social media and are calling to push
the movement which is “teaching men not to sexually objectify them instead of

the public.”
 “If we accept or normalize abortion, women will tend to be more negligent and
there will be no sense of consequence or responsibility in the young people’s
actions. God will also be enraged from our choices. We will all be doomed in
hell.”
6. Circular Argument
 “Killing people is bad because it’s part of the ten commandments which is written
in the Bible.”
“Why is it considered bad by the Bible?”
“Because to kill people is a sin and that makes it bad.”
 “I always say the truth.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m always right.”
7. Hasty Generalization
 “I’ve seen her hangout with boys a lot and she recently just dropped out of
school. She must have gotten pregnant.”

“It’s our anniversary. Let me buy you something instead.”
 Influencer: “I have been loving this product a lot and it has made my skin fairer

9. Tu Quoque

“Then you should stop tweeting at 2 AM too.”

has reduced her eyebags big time so this must be it!”
13. Equivocation

Chips are hard to swallow without finely munching them
Therefore, chips are truth.”

Therefore, commuters are burned in traffic.”
