TEST III: ESSAY. (20 points)

1. If you were friends with Rizal, what will you tell him if you’d be given an hour to talk to him before his
execution?

- If I were Rizal's friend, I would urge him not to worry about his family because I would
help them whenever they needed it. I will express my gratitude to him for being a nice
buddy. I will remind him of his bravery in serving our country. I will make him laugh and
cry since I know it will be our last time seeing him in that state. I will assure him that his
achievements will be remembered and celebrated across the world.

2. What do you think could have happen to our country if Rizal didn’t do everything he had done?

- One thing I believe could happen is that our country would be lost. Because it was
previously colonized by the Spaniards, we cannot name it Philippines. Our country will be
populated entirely by Spaniards. People all over the world will believe that all Filipinos are
stupid. Finally, we will not have the freedom to move freely within our own country.
