In the set End of Module I, you have received some theoretical elements about academic texts and
writing, such as: academic features of writing; essays, articles and their parts, among others. Besides,
there are links with interactive activities, different types of texts and genres, and the APA conventions.
All this information is related to academic writing and academic texts.
To finish with this part of the module, you will have to look for examples of the following:
-a type of text included in a genre,
-a citation,
-an essay or academic article in which you can mark some of the academic features of writing.
You have to look for these three examples in your usual groups of work. You do not have to upload
anything.
In our next meetings, which will be scheduled by each teacher from 31st August to 4th September, these
examples will be shared and a discussion about the theory will be held.
Get all the information ready for the meetings! If you have not read the set End of Module I, you still have
time.
