1. SUMMARY
Procedure on setting up time synchronization (NTP or SNTP). The Date and Time Screen enable the user
to set the unit date and time, either locally or by network synchronization.

1. LOG INTO RADIO


1. Open a browser and launch WTM Portal by entering the IP Address of the radio in the URL.

2. Hit [ENTER] on your keyboard. WTM GUI opens up on the [Dashboard] screen

2. CONFIGURING THE SLAVE RADIO

Configuring L1LA on the Slave radio.


1. Navigate to Switching and Routing => VLAN Management => Definition
o Enter the desired L1LA Vlan. In this example 4001. The screen will appear like the
screenshot below.

2. Navigate to Switching and Routing => VLAN Management => Definition.


o Place the Radio port as a trunk, enter only the L1LA Vlan in the allowed VLANs box, and the
native VLAN box. (4001)
o Place the port connecting to the Master in a trunk. In the allowed Vlans place the
management Vlan and L1LA Vlan. (4000,4001) The native VLAN will be the L1LA Vlan
(4001).
o Using the example VLANs the configuration should look as pictured below.

3. Navigate to Switching and Routing = > L1 Link Aggregation


o Check the ICF box.

4. Commit
**Note** Management does not go across the radio link. Management is going across the L1LA
connection only.
**Note** Ensure the ports being used have an MTU size of at least 2200.

3. CONFIGURING THE MASTER RADIO

1. Navigate to Switching and Routing = > VLAN Management => Definition


a. Add the Traffic Vlan (4002), Slave link Vlan(4001), and the Management VLAN 4000.

2. Navigate to Switching and Routing => L1 Link Aggregation.

a. Click the green “ADD” box.


b. Click the “+” sign and add the port connecting to the slave radio.
c. Add the Vlan that is being used as the L1LA Vlan. (4001)

d. Place the L1LA port as a trunk, in the allowed VLANs add management (4000) and the
Traffic (4002). Leave the native Vlan blank.
e. The port connecting to the Slave radio will be placed in a trunk. Allowed Vlans will be
management (4000) and the L1LA Vlan (4001). The Native VLAN will be 4001.
3. Commit
**Note** If the Master radio is displaying an L1LA engine communication alarm reboot the master and slave
radios.
**Note** Ensure the ports being used have an MTU size of at least 2200.

WTM TIPS

1. To validate the link, perform an RFC 2544 test.


2. If the Master radios are displaying an L1LA engine communication alarm, reboot the master and slave
radios to restart the L1LA engine.
3. Ensure the MTU size is larger than 2200.
