SUB TOPIC: Sexual Harrasment

Sexual Harrasment is unlawful to harass a person because of that persons sex. Harassment can
include “sexual harrasment” or unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favour and other
verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature. Sexual harrasment can make you feel betrayed,
ashamed and angry. It can affect how you sleep as well as the usual or may also lose you
appetite. That makes it especially important to care for your physical and mental health and find
social support in healthy relationships.

IN A WAY YOU CAN DEAL WITH HARASSMENT IS:

1)Use strong body language

2)Do not apologize, make and excuse or ask a question

3)You do not need to respond to questions, threats, blaming or guilt-tripping

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF SOMEONE IS SEXUALLY HARRASING YOU?

1)Sexualized jokes, language or image

2)Unwanted physical contact

3)Inappropriate conduct based on sexual orientation or gender identity

4)Unwelcome request for romatic or sexual activity
