1. PRODUCT CLASSIFICATION
There are four types of product classification. Let's dive into each type, so we can
determine where this product falls in the list.

 CONVENIENCE PRODUCT
Like the Crest toothpaste example, Convenience products are products that consumers'
purchase repeatedly and without much thought. Once consumers choose their Convenience
products' brand-of-choice, they typically stick to it unless they see a reason to switch —
such as an interesting advertisement that compels them to try it, or mere convenience at the
checkout aisle.These products include toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, milk, and
other necessities that people buy over and over again.To market a Convenience product,
you want to consider that most people will impulse buy these products. Placing your
products near the checkout line at a store could be a good idea for these products — which
is why you'll often find candy and gum at the front of a store.Since most Convenience
products are low-price, pricing and discounting isn't a major factor. I won't switch my toilet
paper brand just to save a few cents. For Convenience products, brand recognition is key,
so you'll want to implement wide-spread campaigns to spread awareness of your company if
possible. For instance, Charmin toilet paper is a popular brand in the United States — likely
in part due to the company's consistent and long-term advertising strategy, dating back to
the 1960's with the invention of "Mr. Whipple", a Charmin character who appeared on TV,
print, and radio.

 SHOPPING PRODUCT
Shopping products are commodities you likely think of when you hear the word "shopping".
They might be higher-end items like cars or houses, or smaller items like clothing and
electronics.

Consumers typically spend more time conducting research, comparing prices, and chatting
with salespeople when they're looking to purchase shopping products. These are more one-
off purchases, and are typically more important and higher economic-impact products
compared to toilet paper or soap.For instance, while you will buy toilet paper over and over
again for the rest of your life, you'll likely only purchase a house a few times at most. And,
since it's an expensive and important purchase, you'll spend a good amount of time
deliberating on it, attending different open houses, speaking with various retailers, and
comparing pros and cons of your final selection. The same can be said for smaller products.
A nice t-shirt from the Gap, for instance, isn't typically an "impulse" buy. Instead, you'll want
to try it on, consider whether the price is worth it, and even text a picture of it to a friend. To
market a shopping products product, then, you'll want to invest in content that helps
persuade your buyer that your product is worth it. It's important your marketing materials
demonstrate how your product differs from the competition, and the unique value-add it
provides consumers. This will vary depending on your industry and product, but ultimately,
marketing shopping products entails helping consumers understand why they should
choose your product over others in the marketplace.

 SPECIALTY PRODUCT
A specialty product is the only product of its kind on the market, which means consumers
typically don't feel the need to compare-and-contrast or deliberate as much as they would

with other products. A good example of this? iPhones. I've been purchasing new iPhones for
years, and I haven't paused to consider other smartphone models — not because an
iPhone is an "impulse" buy, but because of the brand recognition and unique quality I feel
I'm getting from an iPhone. It's the same reason people buy Mercedes. There isn't anything
else on the market like it. For this reason, if you're marketing a specialty product, you don't
necessarily need to spend too much time convincing consumers that your product is
different from competitors. They already know it's different. Instead, your company should
focus on constantly innovating on its previous products and producing the "next best thing".
This will ensure your customers will remain loyal to your brand. For instance, if Apple
stopped making impressive improvements on their iPhones and promoting new features, I
might consider switching brands. But since they've continued to impress me over the years,
I've continued to purchase from them.

 UNSOUGHT PRODUCT
Finally, unsought products — a product that people aren't typically excited to buy, and also
don't buy on impulse. Good examples of unsought products include fire extinguishers,

batteries, or life insurance. People will typically buy an unsought product out of a sense of
fear or danger. For instance, you wouldn't go on the market looking for the "new and best"
fire extinguisher. You'd only purchase one due to the fear of a potential fire. Alternatively,
some unsought products, like batteries, are bought simply because the old ones ran out.
When marketing an unsought product, you'll want to focus on reminding consumers of the
existence of your product, and convincing consumers that purchasing your product will leave
them with a better sense of security.
For instance, Duracell's Beach x Bear commercial encourages viewers to remember the
importance of batteries in life-threatening situations, like impending bear attacks (as well as
the everyday importance of batteries, like when using a metal detector.

 What type of product classification for Timex ?

So type of product classification for Timex is a specialty product. Why we determine this
product as specialty products?. the particular reason for this circumstance is these products
are so unique and have such a loyal following that consumers will go to extensive lengths to
seek them out. Rather than comparing brands looking for an attractive value,

 CORE BENEFITS OF THE PRODUCT

 The main benefit of our product is to say that it is easier to check the time, date and
working day on the watch than a smartphone.

Many smart watches have a Stopwatch. This is similar to most smartphone clock stops
but can only be used without a smartphone. It depends on the situation if you prefer to
use a stopwatch on a phone or a smartwatch.

Alarm Clock, comes with an alarm separate from the phone so you can choose to set
the alarm on the watch instead of the phone and the speakers and the default vibration
on the watch will wake you up. Many smart watches do not have built-in speakers so you
just rely on vibration. Usually, the vibration is not strong enough to wake you up but is
very useful if you want to install an alarm during the day to remind you that you need to
go somewhere.

A smartwatch is a wearable computer in the form of a watch; modern smartwatches


provide a local touchscreen interface for daily use, while an associated smartphone app
provides for management and telemetry (such as long-term biomonitoring). While early
models could perform basic tasks, such as calculations, digital time telling, translations,
and game-playing, 2010s smartwatches have more general functionality closer to
smartphones, including mobile apps, a mobile operating system and WiFi/Bluetooth
connectivity. Some smartwatches function as portable media players, with FM radio and
playback of digital audio and video files via a Bluetooth headset. Some models, called
watch phones (or vice versa), have mobile cellular functionality like making calls.

While internal hardware varies, most have an electronic visual display, either backlit LCD
or OLED.Some use transflective or electronic paper, to consume less power. They are
generally powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Peripheral devices may include
digital cameras, thermometers, accelerometers, pedometers, heart rate monitors,
altimeters, barometers, compasses, GPS receivers, tiny speakers, and microSD cards,
which are recognized as storage devices by many other kinds of computers.

map.
This smart watch allows you to go to the place or destination you are going to very easily

world. it will also make your business easier if you are late to go somewhere to finish

applied application that can make you easily search for things that already connect to
your smartwatches. You will be able to ring it through your watch whenever you wish.
Lost your phone? Just press a few buttons on your watch to locate it in seconds.
This makes you more careful or sensitive to your belongings such as wallets, car keys,
house keys, or any other item when you are away or out of the house. This allows you to

everyone's body temperature through the pulse in the hand. Not only the temperature of
our clock can be affected but the heartbeat can also be affected.

 TIMEX
-There are reasons why the product called organic magic. Thrifted means thrifty and of course
we will sell our products at a reasonable and affordable price. This is because we want to allow
everyone to use our products more and will still choose our products compared to other
products because of loyalty and effective product quality .
- we use the name timex also because 'timex' also means maximizing the advantages and uses
of our smart watches. This is because our smart watch has many useful uses that can be used
in your daily use. it is also called 'timex' because of course the main purpose of this smartwatch
is to see or know the current time anywhere and to manage and organize time more effectively.

 PACKAGING

-Why do we choose a square box as our packaging? First of all, it is more suitable for packaging
as a 'smart watch' product packaging. the box is more protective or protects the condition of the
smart watch before being used by customers, compared to other types of packaging such as

plastic as it also adversely affects the environment so paper bags are a good choice. Also, we
chose a rectangular box because it can attract the attention of others. Nowadays, people are
more interested in packing like a rectangular box than other types because it is environmentally
safe and is environmentally friendly packaging. However, the box also has some disadvantages
such as having to be held carefully and wet if rain or water comes in contact with the box.
- However, we have a way to solve the problem by changing the quality of the box to a better
quality. if exposed to water and can maintain the condition of the smart watch. In addition, we
will limit our goods to one product and one square box. Why we choose black for the packaging
of our products, is because it carries our logo (timex) on the front of the box. In addition, black is
more suitable for our logo than other colors. famous today also use a rectangular box and very
minimalist and suitable for a variety of themes for example apple brand their box is also black.
We were inspired by apple to use a rectangular box for our packaging.

 AUGMENTED PRODUCT

Meaning of augmented product:

All the ‘over and above’ features or benefits that you get when you buy an augmented
product are considered under the term ‘augmented product.’

These are not physical attributes nor are these such offerings that satisfy your basic
needs. These are those offerings that are given by a company that act as value added
services and make the customers feel happy and satisfied about their purchase. Let us
continue with the example of a car to make the concept clear.

When you purchase a car, the dealer gives you certain offers and added services. These
differ from dealer to dealer. Benefits like a more comfortable interest rate, free service
for the first two years, warranty, guarantee etc are all benefits that will come under
‘augmented product.’

specially provided for our products only.

-We also provide home delivery service to facilitate the customer purchase process
quickly and customers can be satisfied with the purchase. we make the delivery service
is free on every customer purchase.
3)Customer services
-We also provide customer service. This is intended to resolve customer issues or
complaints about our products. This customer service will also solve or manage the
problems or complaints that can be from each customer if our smart watch has a
problem that needs to be replaced. In addition, we provide customer service is to
manage all inquiries or purchases from customers.
4)Warranty
-Each of our products, we will include a warranty when our products have problems or
damage that need to be repaired and replaced. The warranty will be received within the
time set by our company only for 1 year. meaning the warranty will be valid within 1 year
after purchase. if the buyer complains and wants to use the warranty after the allotted
time, the warranty will not be accepted because it has passed the expiry date of the
warranty.

-We will provide opportunities or offers to customers who already have experience
buying from us, namely buying offers at low prices, getting other goods for free, buying
other goods at a discount and so on.

3.PROMOTION STRATAGIES
Among the ways available to create a product promotion strategy:

 Advertising
-Advertising is any paid form of non-personal presentation and promotion of
goods and services by the identified sponsor in the exchange of a fee. Through
advertising, the marketer tries to build a pull strategy; wherein the customer is
instigated to try the product at least once .The complete information along with
the attractive graphics of the product or service can be shown to the customers
that grab their attention and influences the purchase decision.

 Personal selling
- This is one of the traditional forms of promotional tool wherein the salesman
interacts with the customer directly by visiting them. It is a face to face interaction
between the company representative and the customer with the objective to
influence the customer to purchase the product or services.

 Sales promotion
- The sales promotion is the short term incentives given to the customers to have
an increased sale for a given period. Generally, the sales promotion schemes are
floated in the market at the time of festivals or the end of the season. Discounts,
Coupons, Payback offers, Freebies, etc. are some of the sales promotion
schemes. With the sales promotion, the company focuses on the increased
short-term profits, by attracting both the existing and the new customers.

 Public Relations
- The marketers try to build a favourable image in the market by creating relations
with the general public. The companies carry out several public relations
campaigns with the objective to have a support of all the people associated with
it either directly or indirectly.The public comprises of the customers, employees,
suppliers, distributors, shareholders, government and the society as a whole. The
publicity is one of the form of public relations that the company may use with the
intention to bring newsworthy information to the public.

we as a group have been unanimous in creating a promotional strategy by using
product advertising and sales promotion to promote our products.

 Advertising

- We use this method of advertising because we believe it can lead to increased


sales. This method is commonly used for other products as well as advertising
products on any platform such as online or so on.

-Our plan to promote our products using this advertising method


is that we want to create and inaugurate a word that can
symbolize our product which is 'timex' so that with that word can
introduce our product throughout the country and place. The
sentence we want to inaugurate reads "time is gold, gold is
use". In addition we also plan to make a short film about our
products with a combination of popular artists so that our
product name will become famous in a short time . This is
because such popularity can introduce something new to
society in such a short time. This also allows our sales to
increase if we continue to advertise our products across
platforms available on the internet, online, billboards and so on.

 Sales promotion

-How sales promotion also helps us to get a lot of profit or sales revenue for us to
get financial resources. This method of sales promotion is often also used for or
more appropriate to say in accordance with all the products available in any store
and no matter in what category of the product.

-We plan to promote our smart watch products by using this method is by
sponsoring any well-known campaigns or events for free so that the outside
community can recognize and make purchases with us. this is because the
public will feel our product is more trusted and famous for its purchase and it will
feel worthwhile with the purchase. then we will make a discount when it comes to
famous important events such as Eid, Chinese New Year, and deepavali. This
symbolizes that our company also does not play a racial motion in Malaysia and
considers our company to serve equally between each race and religion.

The conclusion that we can make for our company, our smart watch product is
made or produced is the real purpose to facilitate the affairs of everyone in the
face of this world. This is because our smart watch has many benefits contained
in the smart watch that we have stated on top of that . Besides that, no less for its
good, it also comes with the beautiful and neat design of the smart watch .the
design of the watch is suitable to be worn on the wrist and not so heavy. every
purchase from us will be provided with augmented our products and I can feel
you will not lose when you make a purchase on our business. many benefits and
facilities that we have provided. Finally, we hope that our smart watch products
will get response from customers with our efforts to produce this smart watch
brand "timex".
