Instructional design may look different in
different settings; however, all effective
instructional designs share the following
principles:

1) Unity
Unity is the concept of creative
cohesiveness in which each
component is given an equal relevance
while at the same time achieving a
sense of overall belonging

2) Balance
Balance encompasses the act of
ensuring visual weight of all
components by size, shape, and
contrast

3) Hierarchy 4) Contrast
