TEKS LENGKAP

More than 80% of maternity ward nurses could learn something new about breastfeeding after receiving training
based on World Health Organisation and Unicef best practice, according to a study.
A report published by the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety in Germany said that 378 maternity unit
staff at 10 hospitals took part in the advanced training programme based on The Ten Steps for Successful
Breastfeeding.
As a result of the training, staff reported that they felt they were better able to support mothers in bonding with
their babies and with additional feeding, as well as in providing suitable advice on infant formulas.
