PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Priest: Jesus heals the sick, the deaf and mute out of His great love to His people.
Trustful that God will always be our side, we entrust to Him all our care, especially
for healing as we pray:

LORD, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US!

1. For those who serve the Church, may they continue to inspire those who are
spiritually blind to God’s love, help the seemingly mute: those who are afraid to
speak for the truth so that they may experience the freedom of the children of God,
we pray.

2. For our government leaders, may they treat their people without impartiality, the
poor and the rich alike, and allow themselves to be agents of unity among families
and societies, we pray.

3. For our young people, may they be empowered and learn to be creative and use
their gifts, especially their expertise in the use of the social media for the society and
for the Church and be instruments of healing, we pray.

4. For all those directly afflicted with COVID-19 virus and their loved ones worrying
for them, may they encounter the Lord who always offers “Ephphata” and be opened
to and receive healing, we pray.

5. For all of us especially those celebrating their birthday today that we may be
attentive to the various manifestations of the Lord’s presence in our life, healing our
different infirmities in body and spirit so that we can say: Praise the Lord, my soul.
We pray.

6. For our departed loved ones, may they now receive fullness of life and healing in
the presence of the Resurrected Christ, we pray.

CONCLUDING PRAYER:

Father, You have heard our supplications and see the needs of families especially for
unity. Help us to believe in the healing miracles revealed by Your Son so as to give as
strength and hope as we face the daily grind of life. We ask this through Christ, our
Lord who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and
ever.
