    Strategy 50 allows for planning without final assembly. PIRs can be created and an MRP run will generate planned orders, but the planned orders cannot be converted to production orders since the conversion indicator is grayed out. Sales orders for finished products will be shown in the stock requirements list and consume any existing PIRs through the MRP run, leaving remaining PIR quantities.

    After creating PIR stock requirement list displays as below

    After MRP run Planned order get created but conversion to production order is not possible for
    these type of planned orders as conversion indicator is grayed out in planned order.

    After creating Sales order for finished product you will see Sales order in stock requirement list

    After MRP run Planned order is created with conversion indicator to convert into production order
    and first PIR of 10 is consumed by the sales order and remained only 2 PIR’s out of three.
