eek Scometexity R-36 Scout Ship Tims The R-36 Scout Ship accomodates a crew of two with enough life support & rations for up to one week. Perfect for short scouting missions, crew transport, or as a small cargo tug. Start with the cockpit, cut, fold and score where indicated Cut carefully along the white lines around the four instrument panels and fold out gently as shown Glue the middle tabs and fold up the wall between the two crew positions. Fold the sides of the cockpit up after gluing the tabs. Keep everything as straight and square as you can! Cut and fold the fuselage. Before assembly, glue the four tabs shown ..and the big square tab on the bottom. Fold the fuselage inward. The tabs shown in blue above fold inward and the bottom tab is glued on the underside and attached to the bottom. Leave the nose unglued for now. Glue the outside of the cockpit and place into the fuselage as shown. While the glue is still tacky squirm it all into place. Make sure the protruding instrument panels are not glued down Then glue the three tabs on the nose and close the flap. Finally glue the remaining tabs on the tail and close it up Set the fuselage aside to dry and cut out the two engines. Apply glue to all of the tabs Start folding the flaps down on to the tabs in series, working them so that the tabs all wind up inside. Next, cut fold and score the canopy as shown. Glue tthe two small tabs at the front and hold until dry. Cut out the template for the cockpit glass. Tape it printed side down onto a piece of clear acetate or mylar. Cut around the edge of the template until you have a piece of clear plastic the same size as the template. Flip it over and score along the dotted lines. When it's all done it looks like this. Glue lightly along the inside of the canopy and press the clear piece into it. Hold until dry. Glue the indicated tabs on the two engine struts. Fold the struts over as shown Glue the struts to the top and bottom of the fuselage. The strut with the two big vents goes on the bottom To attach the engines, apply glue to the tabs on the end of the struts. Attach each engine and press tightly until dry. The hole goes on the bottom half. Set the fuselage aside to dry ans cut, fold and score the front wing Glue the reverse of the front flaps and fold them over as shown. Trim away the remaining triangle of white card. Then glue the tabs on the end of the blasters and fold it over into a box as shown The next bit is tricky, glue the long tabs and fold the lasers into long J triangular boxes. The front wing looks like this when it’s done. Glue the rear ends of the lasers and insert them ino the holes on the engines Set the wing onto the fuselage and | press hard Next is the optional landing gear... They are simple little boxes, glue and fold the tabs inward Glue them onto the corresponding areas of the fuselage to indicate “gear down" Glue the rear of the seat backs and sides, fold them flat. This seat has the optional control stick, fold it flat if you wish to use it. Trim away the rectangle of white card. Glue the two bottom tabs and fold them under the seat bottom.
