PROFESOR MANUEL LOPEZ PULIDO

TERCER PARCIAL

CUNDINAMARCA – 2020
We are going to work on the following questions

1. Exporting data of our product to US, if it is possible by city and by state

In this case, as my product is innovative, it is in a process of sustainability, that is, the

statistics are not accurate, however, as demonstrated in the ProColombia to

Colombiatex 2020, the world wears more garments made in Colombia, in this case

event from 21 countries, there were 245 buyers, the majority from the United States and

Europe, their sales increased by 20% compared to the previous year, purchases were

made for a value of US $ 12.4 million.

An advantage of my product is that the textile market is advancing and is attracting the

attention of buyers, and this was verified in the ProColombia to Colombiatex, achieving

70% sales with buyers who have a current commercial agreement; and 42% with buyers

who attended Colombiatex for the first time.

Another advantage of exports is that by not having tariffs, 12% of the tariff is "saved"

on garments, and the delivery of the product is faster compared to other countries.

2. Exporting data of our product to the world, 5 most important countries

If we generate a statistic of the exports that Colombia has to the United States, it

is 22 thousand dollars with a percentage of 13% growth of 5 years.

It is important to mention that the country that imports the most is the United

States for a value of 895,650 dollars,

3. Do we need any certificates to export our product to US?? Which ones?

Foreign trade documents:

•Commercial invoice.

•Certificate of origin.

• Order awarded.

• Letter from the Customs Agent about the process.

•Packing list.

• Transport documents.

• Documents that guarantee tariff compliance.

4. Do we have competitive advantage? Prices? Production times? Innovation?

Our competitive advantage is very broad due to the sustainability that this

garment has in the market, as it is an innovative product, it has an impact at the

moment of being friendly with the environment, and how it compacts with the

disease of atopic dermatitis.

As we will see below, prices can vary, although they remain in the same interval,

between 96,000 pesos to 380,000 or more, depending on the brand, currently in

Colombia a garment made of ecological materials can cost from $ 60,000 - $

70,0000.

In this product, the production time in the crops is longer than a common

garment, although it requires less labor, in this process the difference is marked in

the crops, which have to be virgin for three years without any fertilizer or

chemical to have the best result and the highest quality.

5. Competitive analysis ( 4 Colombian companies exporting same product)

PRODUCTION TIME Organic production generally requires more labor, and harvests

Organic farmers often get better prices for their produce, thus compensating for losses from

the smaller harvest, increased treatment operations and additional costs such as inspection

and certification.
