HBO report script

Good Afternoon everyone,I’m Alenor and I will be the one to introduce you on what people
management is but before we start, we would like to do some activity that may give you a little preview
of what will be our topic this afternoon, I hope it’s just okay for you.

In this activity, we want to ask for your cooperation and participation to do this smoothly. Don’t worry,
it’s very easy naman kaya no pressure

Moving forward, I assumed that you are all familiar with this game called 4 pics 1 word, right? It is a very
simple game wherein there will be 4 given pictures that will be shown in our presentation. These 4
pictures are linked by one word and all you gonna do is to guess what the word is.

Btw, we ask for maam hailee’s permission to give additional points for those who will participate and as
a hint the correct word in every round is related with our topic which is people management.

Without further ado, let’s start.

As I’ve said earlier that there will be four pictures to be shown. So, for the first round, can anyone guess
what the word is?

Before I end this activity, I would like to ask someone to share his/her ideas on what people
management based on the words you’ve guessed. Anyone? (If no one can volunteer, I will be the one to
choose)

I hope it gives you a little preview on what people management is, Now let’s proceed with our formal
discussion

People Management refers to the practice of recruiting, training, engaging, and retaining employees to
optimize their talent and maximize their productivity.

One of the most common samples of people management that can be seen in reality is how the process
done in Jollibee. Diba the first process was the recruitment of employees, pano ngaba sila nag rerecruit?
Yung iba kasi diba may agency then yung mga taong nagbabalak maghanap ng trabaho is pumupunta na
lang dun sa certain agency nayun. Yung iba naman nagpopost through online or having poster and yung
iba naman are doing some flyers to give notice in public that they are hiring. This process is also involved
in people management. Next was training,after nila makarecruit, these employees undergo training for
what purpose? It’s for the main purpose of developing and enhancing the employee’s skills and talent.
After nila maka recruit and trained, What the management gonna do next? It is to engage and retain
their employees. They tend to motivate their employees and develop certain strategies to retain their
employees by also considering the sake of its employees syempre. With this, they can optimize the
talent and maximize the productivity of its employees.

To sum it up, people management involves controlling and organizing the people who work in a business
or organization. Of course, to make it effective, people management requires long-term thinking and
consistency.

Why managing people

First, all management is people management

Accordingly, Lahat ng types of management involve people management. In this phrase, I agree since It
is very evident naman because if you manage certain things there will be always a relation on how will
you communicate your ideas or strategies to someone, by this pumapasok na yung people management
kasi not only the solution for the business is yung gagawin mo but mapapaisip Karin kung paano mo
makukuha yung cooperation ng mga co workers mo in an organization. Just like sa activity kanina, hindi
lang yung pag answer ang hinhanap ko but I also aim for the engagement na mangyayari between us
reporter at sainyong mga listener.

Second, a company is only good as the people it keeps

In this phrase naman, it implies that on how an organization works nag re-reflect on kung gano kaganda
ang pagpapamanage ng mga empleyado within the organization.so kung well trained ang mga
emplayado within the organization, it is already expected na maganda din yung takbo ng business niyo.

Lastly, we have “the only way to get people to like working hard is to motivate them. Today, people
must understand why they're working hard. every individual in an organization is motivated by
something different.”

Since we people have individual differences may mga bagay na gusto natin na ayaw ng iba or ayaw nila
na gusto natin diba?It also applies in managing people in an organization. To make it effective, the
management should understand their people nila well kung ano ang wants or kung ano ba yung
magsasatisfy sa kanila like they need to look in their people’s view point as well. Maybe this way, the
organization may compensate their employees well and may achieve in retaining and engaging with
them.
