ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 112 s. 2019 dated September 5, 2019 based on
DepEd Order No. 46, s. 2016 Republic Act No. 10743 declared the 5 th day of October of
every year as the National Teachers’ Day. Moreover, Presidential Proclamation No. 242
s 2011 also declared the period of 5 th of September to 5th of October of every year as
National Teachers’ Month.

The Division of Davao Oriental celebrated the significant event on October 10,
2019 at Municipal Grounds, Tarragona, Davao Oriental in a very grandiose fashion. The
teaching force of Jose P. Laurel Sr. Elementary School arrived so early at the venue
and attended the mass officiated by the Most Reverend Abel Apigo. On the duration of
the entire program, the teachers were so attentive to the inspiring talks of the public
officials especially when the exceptionally special announcement about salary increase
was made. Also, they were so entertained with the presentations that were prepared for
them by the host municipality. For the most part, they were thrilled with every passing
minute as winners of raffle draws were revealed from time to time. As a result, no one
left the venue until the program ends as the teachers of Jose P. Laurel Sr. Elementary
School desperately wish to win the grand prizes.

The meaningful and fun-filled event drew smiles on their faces.
