Objectives of the project:

1. To present a brief overview of the evolution of media and its influence on today’s
society
2. To critically analyze the reasons for declining ethics in journalism by putting an
emphasis on the concepts taught in the course

Topics to be explored:

1. Evolution - Talk about the history of Journalism and trace its evolution
2. Job responsibilities - Cover “Why Journalism” part and list down roles and
responsibilities of media
3. Current reality - Talk about Journalism in present day and its Modus Operandi
4. Powerful personalities - Cover some of the celebrated news anchors and critique
their propaganda (ethically)
5. Relation to course - Will try to relate postmodernism concepts discussed in class
along with views of some scholars
6. Social media influence - Talk about the evolution of Journalism using Social Media
and its influence on the general public
7. Outliers - Focus on media organisations that have moved away from the battle of
TRP
8. Conclusion - Wrap up our analysis with what we need from Journalism and what are
the ways forward
