that solid waste, open spaces, air pollution, and sewage are the main environmental
issues. In Solid waste problem, according to 60% surveyors voted that society are the
main cause of solid waste problem. For example, are people litter, people don’t care
about their environment, throwing waste and dirty streets. For open spaces, according
to 67% of surveyors, development is one of the causes of open spaces such as
building houses and roads. Meanwhile, according to 62% of surveyor air pollution is
also one of the environmental issues they voted. Industry is one of the causes of air
pollution such as the factories at the bay, factories, industries, and poison gases
emissions from the factories’ chimneys. For sewage problem, 64% of the surveyor
said that institutional is the main cause such as neglect of in fractures and faulty
planning of the sewage system.

- They come up some solution with the solution specified for environmental problems.
For developments, most surveyor voted that planning is one of the solutions such as
tall buildings, high density or banning on building in open spaces. In institutional, the
solution lies in infrastructure such place recycling bins in the streets. For industry, the
most common solution they chosen are replacement technology such as alternative
energy sources and solar energy. In planning, they come up with a solution of
locating factories far away from towns.

4. Why does public need to be aware of that environmental issue?

- For us to be aware and solve problems that are needed to help mother earth. Also,
they need to be educated so that it can’t harm their health conditions.
