Qualified auditors:
Bureau Veritas Certification auditors are selected for audit according to 4 different criteria:
Auditors are listed in Bureau Veritas Certification IT system covering all schemes provided by
Certification. This unique system called AACS (Assessors Allocation Control System) allows
controlling the qualifications of all our auditors and their audit assignments based on auditors'
expertise.
When audits are planned, auditor’s profiles are matched, using the AACS system, with the skills
required for specific audits. Bureau Veritas Certification does its best to allocate multi skilled auditors
to covers all activities of the concerned audit.
Bureau Veritas’ ability to tailor auditors’ competences with clients’ needs ensures that audits are
conducted in a competent manner, adding value to the process, and ensuring a thorough
understanding of the technical approaches, technologies and processes implemented by the
company.
This proposal is established for the audit of the following company: (Company Name), concerning its (…
Producing / Manufacturing / Processing / Trading / Retailing) activity.
It will include the following sites: (List of sites and locations)
LIST OF SUBCONTRACTORS INVOLVED WITH PRODUCTS TO BE CERTIFIED, IF ANY
Liste des sous-traitants produisant des matières destinées à être certifiées, le cas échéant
Outsourcing:
If the company wants to include subcontractors in the European Flax certification scope, a subcontractor
list shall be provided. Subcontractors will be audited by Bureau Veritas.
In case of change of subcontractors’ list, the company must provide to the Bureau Veritas Certification
the updated list six months before the surveillance audit to ensure compliance with the contract and hold
the programming.
Note: using a subcontractor means outsourcing a work on certified flax/linen material. Purchase and sale
of certified products are managed by the Company, not the subcontractor. The material remains the
property of the certified company. Invoicing between the subcontractor and the Company is only related
to the outsourced activities.
When a company is outsourcing work on certified fibres/products, the concerned subcontractors shall be
included in the certification scope: the subcontractors shall be in conformity with the technical criteria
related to on site traceability.
