GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR UCB-6 LITE CONNECTION 6

6 General Guidelines for UCB-6 LITE Connection

The UCB-6 LITE is installed inside of the cabinet of the gaming device. It should be placed in such a
manner that will allow free air circulation to prevent overheating.

When installing the UCB-6 LITE device, follow these recommendations:

1) All actions (installation, enabling connectors and etc.) must be performed only when the power
supply is switched off.
2) Use earthing systems (e.g. earthing bracelet) during controller installation to prevent damage of
electronic components from static electricity discharge.
3) Do not apply too much pressure to the connectors when you connect / disconnect them to avoid
mechanical damage;
4) Ensure correct polarity of the power supply voltage and the orientation of the connectors (all cable
connectors must be equipped with a key which protects against incorrect connection).

For more information on how to connect different gaming devices to the UCB-6 LITE, see technical
documentation delivered with the gaming equipment.

INFORMATION
The controller Dallas ID number is composed of the MAC-address of the RCM6710 board. To
obtain a Dallas ID from a MAC-address you have to read bytes in reverse order, e.g. if the MAC-
address is 00:90:E8:0A:79:76, the Dallas ID will be 76790AE89000.

7 UCB-6 LITE DIAGNOSTICS

7 UCB-6 LITE Diagnostics

Operative diagnostics of the UCB-6 LITE may be performed using LEDs.

The autotest is constantly performed during UCB-6 LITE operation. The test results are displayed via the
LED Heartbeat.
The test set consists of four tests and begins with these headings:
 LED is off within 2,5 sec;
 LED is on within 2,5 sec;
 LED is off within 2,5 sec.

The results of each test are displayed as follows:

 LED is on within 0,25 sec – the test is passed;
 LED is on within 1 sec – test is failed, a failure is detected.

INFORMATION
The test set of the software intended for the gaming machines is shown in table 6.2.

Test № Test Name Test Description

1 SM Power SM Power check
2 SM COM Check connection with the gaming machine
3 SM Changes Check machine status changes
4 GLM Line Check connection with GLM
5 Logon GLM Check access to GLM
6 Indicator test Check connection with the built-in indicator. The test
always fails as no indicator can be connected. It is
performed for SW compatibility with UCB-6.
7 PTM OK Check connection with PTM
Tbl. 7-1 UCB-6 LITE test set for the gaming machines

INFORMATION
The SM Power test is always passed successfully.
If the GLM Online test is failed (the Logon GLM test is also failed), you have to contact the
responsible myACP support engineer to resolve these issues.

RESETTING UCB-6 LITE TO FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS 8

8 Resetting UCB-6 LITE to Factory Default Settings

If the UCB-6 LITE device becomes inoperable due to failures, it has to be reset to the original factory
settings.

NOTE
When resetting a controller, the configuration data, uploaded templates and event history (except
financial transactions) are lost.

To reset a controller, follow these steps:

1) Power off the controller.
2) Remove the case cover.
3) Extract the RCM6710 module or the battery.
4) Install the RCM6710 module or the battery.
5) Fix the case cover.
6) Power on the controller.

9 SOFTWARE UPGRADE

9 Software Upgrade

The UCB-6 LITE is delivered with the pre-installed software developed by Octavian.SPb.

NOTE
The UCB-6 LITE boards and dedicated software are intended only for the use within the networks of
those gaming operators for which they were produced. Usage of the UCB-6 LITE and dedicated
software in other operator networks may lead to controller failure.

To upgrade controller software, you have to contact the Octavian SPb’s Support Department and provide
the information on the actual software version. Based on these data, the Support Department will prepare
and send you the required files.
