Each classroom has a separate bin for paper, plastic and leftover food. Biodegradable
wastes are buried in our compost pit which will be used as fertilizer for our plants. Non-
biodegradable and recyclable materials like paper and empty plastic bottles are collected per
classroom every week. Some of them are used as pots, dippers, pails and the like; some of them
are sold in the junk shop to generate funds in making for our instructional materials or for
visitor’s food.
We also encourage pupils to practice this not only in school but also on their respective
homes and in the community, to help lessen our garbage trash so that in the future there would
not be a garbage collector. More so, nowadays dumpsites are full of garbage which are
dangerous to our health. Someday, we will run out of dumpsite if we do not practice the zero
waste management.
