1. What's new in Cellebrite UFED Version 7.52 - Beta

Huawei live – Now supports full file system collection from a wide
range of unlocked Huawei Kirin devices
This new method enables you to perform a full file system collection on a wide range of
unlocked Huawei Kirin devices using Android 9 and higher.

The “Huawei Live” method can be found under file system extraction type in the “Android
Kirin” generic profile and in several tested Huawei profiles, such as, Huawei POT-LX1,
Huawei JNY-LX2_DS, Huawei NOH-NX9 Mate 40 Pro, and more.

The method also appears as “untested” when connecting Huawei Kirin devices.

Full File System support for unlocked Android 12 Qualcomm and
Samsung Exynos devices
Cellebrite UFED now supports Full File System extraction for Qualcomm and Samsung Exynos
unlocked devices with Android 12 , such as, Samsung Galaxy S21 SM-G991B, Samsung Galaxy
S21 SM-G991U and more.

This capability is supported using the following methods:

Qualcomm live

Full file system (FBE) (Samsung Exynos)

Secure applications will be decoded using PA 7.52 and above

Collect and decode secure applications
You can now collect and decode the data from applications that leverage keystore for
additional security: Signal Private Messenger, Samsung Health and Proton Mail, using the
most generic and comprehensive (full file system) methods for a wide range of Android
devices.

This new capability is supported using the following methods:

Qualcomm live

Full file system FBE (Samsung Exynos)

Huawei live

MKT live

Secure applications will be decoded using PA 7.52 and higher.

A faster way to verify and transfer logical collection output


Logical extraction output files can now be zipped for faster transfer. A hash of the zip is
calculated automatically and is added to the UFD file.

Enabling the zip feature

To enable zipping the logical extraction output, navigate to Settings > General tab and select
Zip logical extraction output.

Logical extractions that were zipped can be decoded using PA 7.52 and
above. You can open the extraction in older PA versions by manually
unzipping it first.

Export All: Exports logs for all sessions, including the current session.

Export last Exports all logs from the last session (or the current session - whichever is
session: latest).

Improved serviceability, reduce logs size


You can now reduce the log size when opening a support ticket by sending only the last
session logs.

Advanced search for devices – BETA feature
This new search capability enables the user to view all extraction methods available for the
mobile device, even before connecting it.

For Android devices, you can input device properties such as chipset, OS, OS version etc. Each
property added increases the number of methods available for devices that have been tested
by Cellebrite and the number of methods available for devices that have not yet been tested.

Turning off default SSO when using Active Directory
authentication
This feature enables you to turn off the default permissions for SSO, when using Active
Directory authentication.

Update software license with one click


If you are using a software license, you can now update it with an automatic, 1-click, method.

When online, click Update to update your license. The license file is downloaded and
applied automatically.
