Week 1: Analyze

Evaluate your org’s readiness for Lightning Experience - Run the readiness check in the Transition Assistant
Determine first major group or department to move to Lightning (or plan to move all!)
Schedule a meeting with your stakeholders, use Lightning in a Box

Week 2:
Plan your rollout: 

How many phases to divide the rollout?

Who moves to Lightning Experience?
What features and issues to implement?
When - set a date for launch?

Align with your stakeholders 

Host a meeting and share the rollout plan 

Use the Lightning Business Assessment to calculate the ROI

T-45 DAYS: ROLL OUT CHECKLIST

Week 3: Turn On 

Turn on Lightning Experience
Pick champions or superusers 
Show them and gather feedback
Week 3-6: Get users ready for the change:
Create a Communication plan 
Create a Training Program (FAQ doc, videos)
Leverage the Change Management Hub
Week 4-5: Customize your key record pages for to be optimized for Lightning
Week 4-5: Adjust existing customizations 
Use Configuration Converter to update Visualforce pages and convert JavaScript buttons
 Test and adjust your AppExchange apps (if needed)
Week 5-6: Test with your champions

T-0 DAYS: LAUNCH CHECKLIST

Go Live! And have a party! Launch Lightning Experience using profiles or permission sets
Schedule time for user support and troubleshooting
Leverage in-app adoption drivers to keep users in Lightning Experience:
Automatically move users to Lightning Experience on a daily or weekly schedule.
Enable the “Hide Option to Switch to Salesforce Classic” permission in profiles and permission sets.
Users are able to switch to the same feature in Lightning Experience and see a brief training video.
Use a welcome mat with on-boarding videos, Trailhead, and Help to greet users when they first log in.
Add Your Content to the Help Menu
Get Feedback if Users Switch to Salesforce Classic
Track Lightning Experience daily active users and more with the Lightning Usage App
