The movie Changeling is based on real events of the Wineville

crimes. The movie was directed by Clint Eastwood. It stars
Angelina Jolie as Christine Collins, mother of the missing child
and John Malkovich as Gustav A. Briegleb the reverend. The
movie was nominated three Oscars for Best Actress in a Leading
Role, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.

The Movie is set in The Angels in the 1920s. It was filmed on

location in California.

The movie is about a single mother Mrs. Christine Collins who

works at a telephone exchange as a supervisor and she has a son,
Walter Collins, who is her reason for living. One day, she discovers
that Walter disappeared from her home while she was working. She
calls the police and makes the report. J. J. Jones a corrupt and
dishonest police captain takes over the case. Five months later, the
police give her a child, but on seeing him, she immediately says
that he isn’t his son. Christine tries to show the police that they
made a mistake, but Captain Jones convinces Christine that the
child found is her real son and forces her to admit it. Three weeks
later, she returns with the child to the police station, saying that he
isn’t Walter, after find out he was circumcised and shorter than her
son. With the help of the Reverend Gustav Briegleb, Christine will
move heaven and earth to find Walter, her son. A detective named
Lester Ybarra, receives a confession of a child. Gordon Stewart
Northcott the person with he lived, had murdered and buried
children on the farm, where he was found. The detective investigate
and the children's bodies appear. Among which the child
recognizes Walter. Gordon Stewart Northcott was tried for murder and condemned to execute by
hang. At the end a child appears who says that he escaped from the farm, thanks to Walter's help,
but he doesn't know where he is, because they took different ways, but he believes that Walter was
caught by the murderer.

I stongly recommended Changeling. It has drama and the messages it transmits are the sexism
against women and violence against children, but the most significant is the strength and hope of a
mother for find a her son.
