Process Description:

Hi, my name is Danilo Bello and today I am going to teach you how to build a computer for the
first time.

Step #1: Check your components.

The best thing to do when you build a computer is to check your components compatibility, even
before they are bought. The motherboard, CPU and RAM compatibility, it´s really important
because they are really expensive. Read the manuals of both RAM and the Motherboard before
installing anything.

Step #2: Install the Primary Components:

Take the CPU out of its case, holding it by the IHS, once the CPU is out, check the motherboard
socket, a little triangle would be visible in one of the corners, this triangle needs to be aligned with
the triangle visible on the CPU, once aligned, place it in the socket, then push the lever on the
socket until its set to place. After the CPU is installed, its time to place the RAM memory, take the
memory out of its case, this memory sticks have a notch which has to be aligned to the notch on
the motherboard, after aligned it only takes a little push until the slot clicks.

Step #3 Installing the Power Supply:

After the Motherboard is set its time to place it in the case, but first we need to install the power
supply, the case normally has a shroud where the power supply can slide into place, we follow that
process, and after the power supply its sitting on the shroud it needs to be adjusted with 4 screws,
take a screwdriver and adjust the four screws on an “X” pattern. Then we pass the cables through
the shroud to manage them later. After that, we place the motherboard on the case, adjusting it
by a few screws, again on an “X” pattern, without applying more pressure than necessary.

Step #4: Install the Storage Devices:

Depending on what storage devices you have on your build this step may differ from what it´s
described here. But let´s continue, if you have a SATA SSD, as well as a typical hard drive, there
should be places where you can place this kind of storage devices, next to the power supply
shroud, there should be a cage, extract the adapters, adjust a few screws on the side of the
adapters or in the case of an ssd, on the bottom of the adapter, then after the device it´s installed,
slide it into place, connect the cables on the drives and then on the motherboard.
Step #5: Install the Graphics Card if needed and connect all the cables:

Finally comes the last part of the build, we take the graphics card and extract the protective layers
on the case, we locate the PCI Express port on the motherboard, unlock the latch located on the
right corner of the port and slide in the graphics card until a click is heard, then we screw the back
of the graphics card on the case, and after that connect the cables of the graphics card coming
from the power supply, and then we connect the last cables from the case to the motherboard
and there you go, now you only need to turn it on and enjoy.
