Scope and Limitation

The study aimed to determine the challenges in online distance learning in

mathematics in the performance of students and professors amidst the

pandemic, that will help both parties to cope up during this trying times.

The study took place at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus,

during school year 2021-2022. The respondents used are the ten (10) randomly

college students and ten (10) professors in different colleges from University of

Rizal System-Morong.

For this study, the researchers made use of random sampling technique in

order to get the desired number of respondents needed in the study. The

researchers-made questionnaire checklist and was utilized to determine the

challenges in online distance learning in mathematics.

The study was limited to analyze and determine the challenges in online

distance learning in mathematics.

Assumption of the Study

The following assumptions are made regarding this study:

1. The instrument to be used will elicit reliable responses.

2. The respondents will fully understand the questions they will be asked.

3. The respondents will provide honest expressions of their experiences.


4. The researcher will present the challenges in online distance learning in

mathematics in a consistent manner.

In conducting this this study the following assumptions were made. It was

assumed that:

1. The participants in the study freely provided the researcher with their

opinions of the challenges their facing in online distance learning in

mathematics.

2. The respondents based their opinions of the challenges in online distance

learning in mathematics on their experiences.
